The level of artistry and intricacy achieved in handloom fabrics are unparalleled and unique, which makes it worthy to be handed down from one generation to another.
The Rebung Series is special to us in many ways and we are not talking about the wrap by the way but rather the journey itself. Even though the preparations of yarns started way before that but the weaving for Rebung is always a tedious and slow process.
However, seeing how beautiful these lovelies turned out really makes the wait well worth it!  For those of us who have worked behind the scenes, whenever a new wrap is released we always reflect upon our journey to where we are now. We are grateful that our weavers managed to weave throughout winter for the Rebung Erinite & Chrysolite.
Rebung is a special jacquard weave because it has two layers of warp. We have used Variegated Teal Cyan Aqua & Cream for the warp and two wefts (Cream and Gray) respectively. Master Weaver Munir and weaver Zainal worked on these wraps. The wraps are aptly named after the precious stones Erinite and Chrysolite for their beautiful colours. So you get to choose between a cream (Chrysolite) or gray(Erinite) weft.
Care instructions:
• Hand or machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle
• Place in a mesh bag or pillow case if machine washed
• Line dry
• Do NOT soak or bleach
